Advice from the U.S. Surgeon General on COVID-19

HOSA Members, as future health professionals, we must do our part to keep our community healthy during the COVID-19 Pandemic. If you must leave your home, remember to follow these guidelines from the CDC:

  • Stay home if possible.
  • Wash your hands often.
  • Take everyday precautions to keep space between yourself and others (stay 6 feet away, which is about two arm lengths).
  • Keep away from people who are sick.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched services.

As of April 3, the CDC and the U.S. Surgeon General, Jerome Adams, also encouraged individuals to use face coverings if you must leave your home. Learn how to make your own face covering with the Surgeon General.
