HOSA’s biggest event of the year goes VIRTUAL – announcing the 2020 Virtual International Leadership Conference
HOSA-Future Health Professionals announces it will host its annual International Leadership Conference, June 24-27, 2020. Now in its 43rd year, HOSA will take on an entirely new online format packed with the same great conference content for all HOSA members and advisors.
COVID-19 required HOSA to create a new online ILC format that will deliver a full conference program with online speakers and sessions, offer Educational Seminars and Workshops and the HOSA Exposition, provide an extraordinary learning experience for the entire HOSA community, and allow for networking opportunities.
Be sure to remember that several of the processes – delegate assembly, election of officers, competition and other HOSA branded activities – changed to accommodate the virtual format so please read carefully all materials.
Conference Registration. Due to many schools being closed, HOSA is offering registration either by (1) chapter advisor registration or (2) individual member registration. The chapter advisor process will remain the same process as HOSA has used in past years. If the individual registration process is used, the HOSA member must meet the following requirements: (a) must have placed in the top three (3) in state competition and must be verified to attend by your State Advisor as a competitor and (b) be prepared to pay for the registration fee via credit card at the time of registration.
All student members and alumni that register for the ILC will also be eligible to take two (2) Academic Testing Center tests as part of the conference registration. A list of the events can be found at the following link https://www.hosa.org/guidelines. Additional tests may be taken at a cost of $10 each.
National Geographic Learning Academic Testing Center. HOSA is offering ATC testing to HOSA members and alumni who did not qualify for HOSA’s Virtual ILC for only $10 a test. You can take all fourteen ATC tests if you like at $10 per test. This opportunity may not be possible in the future.
Hotel Registration in Houston. If you made a hotel reservation individually at one of the hotels in Houston, please contact the hotel directly to cancel as soon as possible to avoid any hotel fees. The hotel will not cancel your room automatically.
