HOSA-FUTURE HEALTH PROFESSIONALS WAS HONORED AT THE IDEAGEN 2023 GLOBAL GOALS SUMMIT

10/20/23: Manhattan, NY — On October 20, 2023, Ideagen Global, in collaboration with The Permanent Mission of Greece to the United Nations, convened at The Nasdaq Global Headquarters in New York City for the annual Global Partnerships and Global Goals Summit. Aimed to define, highlight, and connect the work of individuals and organizations across industries in their efforts to create sustainable business impact and foster the achievement of the UN Global Goals by 2030, the Global Goals Summit featured global leaders and luminaries from the public and private sector, along with visionary thought leaders dedicated to fostering partnerships and solutions to the world’s most vexing issues as 2030 approaches.

Nick Ballard, HOSA President-Elect, Marcus Henderson, Chair, HOSA, Inc. Board of Directors, and Sarah Walters, Executive Director of HOSA-Future Health Professionals, represented the 265,000 members internationally at this prestigious event in New York City.

HOSA-Future Health Professionals had the opportunity to share its work on developing equitable youth employment strategies and mitigating healthcare workforce shortages through quality education and promoting good health and well-being for all. It is through access to an international membership — student-led chapters with diverse talents and shared ambitions to become the next generation of innovative health professionals — that HOSA also finds its membership with interest in promoting mental health best practices, engaging student thought concerning today’s most pressing health challenges, and with the strategies to reduce poverty by supporting positive academic outcomes via work-based learning and access to industry opportunities.

On the evening prior to the Global Goals Summit, Ideagen Global and The Permanent Mission of Greece to the United Nations recognized HOSA-Future Health Professionals with The Global Impact Award for its achievement and dedication to creating and supporting the completion of the 17 United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. HOSA is particularly focused on SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being and SDG4: Quality Education.
