Pre-dental and pre-dental hygiene scholarship presented by Cranberry
Global Dental Relief is proud to offer a new scholarship starting in 2017!
Cranberry Scholarship Program — $1000 each for five lucky students to attend a Global Dental Relief trip and experience dentistry firsthand.
Cranberry is looking for pre-dental and pre-dental hygiene students who share a passion and enthusiasm for bringing dental care to those in need. One of the best ways for pre-dental students to experience dentistry is to join a charity dental clinic. Participation in a clinic reaching underserved populations allows students to directly witness dental need while getting hands-on experience assisting a dentist or hygienist.
This year, Cranberry is offering five $1000 Global Dental Relief scholarships to attend GDR clinics in 2017. Eligible applicants include current pre-dental students, pre-dental hygiene students and recent college graduates who are applying to dental school.
Successful applicants will receive a $750 scholarship to be used towards the cost of food and lodging during a GDR trip to Cambodia, Nepal, India or Kenya. Recipients will be responsible for remaining trip costs and their airfare to the project location.
Cranberry will award an additional $250 casPh award to any scholarship student who returns to the US and is accepted to dental or hygiene school.
To apply, applicants are requested to fill out an application and agree to reporting requirements requested by Cranberry, including the submittal of a post trip report and short video segment.
