Upon completing the HOSA Advisor Development Program video series please follow these steps to receive your official Certificate of Excellence:

1. Complete the Advisor Development Program Certificate Request Form linked here.
2. Enter your the required information exactly as you would like it to appear on your certificate.
3. Click Submit to send your form.
4. Your certificate will be emailed to you immediately

Lesson #1 Gain Administrative Support and Secure a Charter Number
Before you can dive into building a thriving HOSA chapter, there are two important first steps every chapter advisor must take:
✅ Gain support from your school administration – Learn how to communicate the value of HOSA and secure the support required to make your chapter a success.
✅ Obtain your HOSA charter number and password – We will walk you through how to acquire the chapter’s credentials to access the HOSA Conference Management System (CMS), affiliate members, and begin your chapter journey.
This foundational lesson will help position your chapter for long-term success and ensure you are ready to lead chapter members into the association world of HOSA-Future Health Professionals.

Lesson #2 HOSA Chapter Advisor Responsibilities

HOSA chapter advisors play a vital role in mentoring members, fostering leadership skills, and helping members grow both personally and professionally. From organizing chapter meetings to supporting members in competitive events and encouraging service in local communities, you serve as the advisor, coach, motivator, and guide for the chapter. We will walk you through the key responsibilities of a HOSA chapter advisor and show you how this role can be one of the most rewarding experiences of your professional career. Your members will remember their HOSA chapter advisor in perpetuity.

Lesson #3 HOSA Resources

In this video, we will show you where and how to access the tools and resources to guide your chapter successfully. From advisor handbooks and affiliation tutorials to event guidelines and leadership materials, HOSA offers a wealth of support designed to make your  chapter advisor role easier and rewarding. Whether a brand-new chapter advisor or a seasoned leader, we will walk you step-by-step:

Lesson #Electing HOSA Officers

Empowering members to lead is an important mission of being a HOSA chapter advisor—and it starts with electing your chapter officers. In this video, you will learn:

✅ How to plan and conduct HOSA officer elections
✅ Tips to identify chapter leaders and encourage them to seek a chapter office
✅ Best practices for creating officer roles and responsibilities that fit your chapter’s requirements
✅ How to organize your officer team for success from day one

Lesson # 5 HOSA Plan of Work
A strong HOSA Plan of Work is the roadmap to a successful chapter year. HOSA advisors will learn to guide their officer team in developing a Plan of Work that:
