Vivian On - Western Region Vice President
“The darkest nights produce the brightest stars.” – John Green

Surrounded by a crowd of cheering future health professionals in their navy blues at her first State Leadership Conference in 2018 is where Vivian found her second family. Now, with a purpose to give back to her HOSA family, Vivian serves as the Western Region Vice President. Starting her first year of college at the University of California, Berkeley, as a Molecular and Cellular Biology major, Vivian is on the pre-medicine track and passionate about providing quality healthcare to patients. Embracing her immigrant background, Vivian aspires to use her personal experiences to improve global health inequities in her future. Vivian hopes to inspire her fellow HOSA members to embrace their individual backgrounds in order to develop their unique leadership voices. She recognizes the need for diverse leaders in advancing medicine and expanding inclusivity in healthcare. Vivian strongly believes all HOSA members have the potential to fulfill that need and has made it her mission to help members realize that potential. Aside from her academic pursuits and HOSA, Vivian can be found reading one of the 106 books in her personal collection that she is always building upon (unfortunately for her bank account), having a private lip sync concert to the Weeknd or Taylor Swift, pushing her limits at the gym, or driving to the beach with her friends to get a triple scoop of ice cream in a waffle cone.
