Rachael Thumma - central region Vice President

“While we may come from different places and speak in different tongues, our hearts beat as one.” – Albus Dumbledore

Rachael joined HOSA in 2018 with hopes of developing her professional repertoire. What she found, however, impacted her life in a much greater way. From discussions in her local chapter to conversations with members across the world at ILC, she discovered a bond — a bond fostered by the spirit, passion, and energy that emanated from every HOSA member, a bond she became enamored by. As the Central Region Vice President, she strives to strengthen the connection among the members of her region to allow more HOSA members to also experience this bond. Coming from Arkansas, one of the smallest chartered associations, she is well aware of the physical and financial barriers hindering this connection. During her term, she hopes to discover ways to help local chapters overcome these barriers. Outside of HOSA, Rachael is a freshman at the University of Notre Dame majoring in Neuroscience on the pre-med track. She is passionate about preventative, holistic medicine and hopes to put this passion into practice in the near future. In her free time, you will likely find Rachael dancing— she is an avid Bharatanatyam dancer—reading her most recent booktok recommendation, hiking new trails, or blending new smoothie recipes. Rachael is beyond excited to serve as the 2022-2023 Central Region Vice President and can’t wait to expand the HOSA connection beyond all limits.
