“The desire to reach for the stars is ambitious. The desire to reach hearts is wise.” – Maya Angelou
Noor joined HOSA in middle school because her older brother insisted she give it a try. Little did she know that what began as a simple suggestion would become one of the most defining parts of her life.
Throughout her years in HOSA, she found a community that encouraged her to believe in herself and helped shape the person she is today. While it is easy to become caught up in the demands of the world, HOSA taught Noor the importance of never losing sight of the people around her.
HOSA showed Noor that while ambition can take you far, genuine human connection is what keeps you grounded. More than anything, it taught her to lead with compassion, embrace growth, and pour into others with the same belief that was once poured into her. The lessons she carries most closely is the power of making others feel seen, valued, and supported.
Noor is an incoming sophomore at the University of Michigan studying neuroscience on the pre-medical track. She hopes to pursue a career in obstetrics, supporting women through some of the most challenging, vulnerable, and meaningful moments of their lives.
Outside of HOSA, Noor can usually be found trying a new coffee shop (but never ordering matcha), listening to Arabic music, or spending time with the people she loves most. She is beyond grateful to serve HOSA and looks forward to continuing to build meaningful connections with members across the world.
