Maanit Kaushik - Central Region Vice President
“The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.” – Pablo Picasso
When Maanit first joined HOSA, he discovered a purpose. HOSA introduced him to the intersection of science, service, and leadership, giving him the confidence to pursue a future as a physician with the long-term goal of improving healthcare through public health policy. More importantly, it gave him a platform to begin creating change long before earning a medical degree.
Now serving as International Central Region Vice President, Maanit has discovered another “why”: helping other members find that same platform. He believes every HOSA member has the potential to improve their school, community, or the future of healthcare. Through his service, he hopes to empower them with the opportunities, resources, and confidence to turn their ideas into meaningful action.
Outside of HOSA, Maanit is studying biochemistry at the University of Georgia while working toward a career that bridges medicine and public policy. When he isn’t in class, you’ll probably find him playing soccer, reading classics, listening to indie rock/folk (big fan of Oasis, The 1975, and Hozier), searching for the best Mexican food, or adding another Snoopy collectible to his growing collection.
HOSA helped Maanit make an impact and discover his path, and it is his honor to spend this year helping others do the same.
