LAUREN TRYGSTAD - Postsecondary/collegiate Board Rep.

“Jack of all trades, master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.” – William Shakesphere

From the moment Lauren attended her first HOSA conference, she knew she had found her family. After six incredible years in this organization, she is excited to continue her HOSA journey as the Postsecondary/Collegiate Board Representative. A junior at Gustavus Adolphus College pursuing a major in Biology and a minor in Spanish on a pre-med track, Lauren endeavors to continue expanding the HOSA community through securing partnerships with key players in the healthcare industry. Additionally, she aims to be accessible to HOSA’s advisors and members and learn from their experiences. Lauren is passionate about universal access to knowledge and education and hopes to ensure HOSA is accessible to all. In the future, she aspires to become an Emergency Medicine Physician, a career that will allow her to solve problems and utilize various skills. Lauren grew up working with her father, a physician, and has always felt at home surrounded by the healthcare community. Lauren truly believes in the power of the HOSA community to bring about real change: through advocacy, education, and innovation. In her free time, she enjoys writing songs (check her out on Spotify), playing the piano and guitar, and singing in the Gustavus Choir and Women’s Acapella group. In addition, Lauren is an experienced graphic designer and loves experimenting with new concepts and teaching others how to optimize their brand.
