Kartik Tyagi - INTERNATIONAL President
“Dream lofty dreams, and as you dream, so you shall become. Your vision is the promise of what you shall one day be; your ideal is the prophecy of what you shall at last unveil.” – James Allen

HOSA-Future Health Professionals has enabled Kartik to not only uncover who he is as a student, leader, and future health professional, but has propelled him to gain a sense of who he aspires to be. To this end, Kartik is humbled to serve HOSA as its International President for the 2022-2023 year. An eight-year HOSA member and senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill pursuing a BSPH in Health Policy and Management, Kartik recognizes HOSA’s boundless potential in connecting active and alumni members within the health industry pipeline to minimize long-term workforce shortages. Kartik’s passion for service and advocacy – through uplifting and empowering the voices of others – is what has propelled both his work and his drive, be it through engagements that have enabled him to embody his leadership journey or build his professional passions in the fields of public health policy, healthcare reform, and public service. Kartik’s personal mission is to utilize the unifying capability of both health and leadership as a guiding light into the 21st century – optimistically and intentionally – to secure a more accessible, equitable, and inclusive outlook for the field of health — he aims to do this through a career in government and policy. In his free time, Kartik enjoys supporting work at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, trying new, spicy vegetarian foods, playing his favorite sports of basketball and tennis, and cheering on all things UNC athletics. Kartik is beyond honored to serve as part of an ever-growing network that inspires, uplifts, and empowers the next generation of health — moving forward, together, beyond all limits.
