Houda Loukssi - President-Elect
“Set your heart ablaze.” Rengoku
For Houda, HOSA has always been about possibility. The possibility hidden inside a nervous first-time competitor. The possibility that one conversation, one opportunity, or one moment of encouragement can completely change someone’s future. When Houda first joined HOSA, she never imagined how much a single organization would shape her life. What began as an opportunity to explore healthcare quickly became a place where she found her voice, her passion for leadership, alongside a community that challenged her to dream bigger than she ever thought possible. The phrase “Set your heart ablaze” serves as a reminder to pursue those dreams wholeheartedly. To Houda, the quote represents choosing passion over hesitation, courage over comfort, and, last but not least, service over recognition.
Currently a student at Cornell University, Houda is majoring in Health Care Policy with a minor in Performing and Media Arts. She hopes to pursue a career as a health policy analyst, working to improve healthcare access and outcomes for rural and low-income communities.
Outside of HOSA, you can usually find Houda rehearsing for a musical, playing tennis, or watching the sunset. She is also known among family and friends for brewing the perfect cup of Moroccan mint tea. As a member of the International Executive Council, Houda is excited for the opportunity to serve an organization that has given her so much. She hopes to empower members to follow their hearts and take advantage of every opportunity HOSA has to offer.
