LJ Pasion - Eastern Region Vice President

You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. Do the thing you think you cannot do.” -Eleanor Roosevelt

Inspired by the dedication and drive of her fellow HOSA members, LJ was able to dive headfirst into what challenged her and take steps out of her comfort zone. At her first International Leadership Conference, she was in awe of both the opportunities  HOSA offered and the kind, welcoming spirit of the people she met. As an Executive Council member, she aspires to serve members by helping them step out of their comfort zones and promote growth within herself and others. An incoming freshman at the University of San Diego, LJ is planning to study Behavioral Neuroscience on a pre-med track and minor in Changemaking, an area of study that equips students with the tools to understand and tackle systemic roots of many social issues. In the future, she hopes to become the first doctor in her family. As an Emergency Medicine doctor, she plans to utilize what she’s learned from her years in HOSA to advocate for patients and provide the best standard of care. She hopes to one day start a private foundation to fund research for a variety of incurable illnesses and diseases, as well as promoting innovation in the healthcare field. LJ helps her community by being a volunteer EMT at Boonton Kiwanis First Aid Squad and working as a receptionist at a local nursing home. In her free time, LJ likes to play field hockey, go on runs, and practice Tik Tok dances. LJ is incredibly excited to serve as your Eastern Region Vice President and cannot wait to help members unlock their potential!
