Jennifer Okolo - Secondary Board Representative

“Don’t be afraid. Be focused. Be determined. Be hopeful. Be empowered.” -Michelle Obama

Ever since her first exposure to HOSA, Jennifer has been mesmerized by the drive HOSA members have for their competitive events, friendships, and communities. From her first state conference, she knew HOSA was the home for her and she is honored to lead such an outstanding organization as the 2020-2021 Secondary Board Representative. In this position, she wishes to encourage members to take full advantage of the opportunities HOSA has to offer as they seek to unlock their potential. HOSA has become an integral part of Jennifer’s identity and it fuels her desire to make an impact while serving others. A freshman at Yale University, Jennifer is studying Cognitive Science on a Pre-Medical track. From researching diabetes in a science lab to volunteering actively in nursing homes to competing avidly in events such as medical law and ethics, Jennifer actively seeks different ways to immerse herself in the extraordinary healthcare field. Outside of HOSA, Jennifer can be found perfecting the craft of latte art as a barista, playing sports, making memories with friends and family, or practicing calligraphy. Jennifer cannot wait for the year ahead and wants to encourage members to never let their fears limit their opportunities as they strive to learn, lead, and innovate!
