2017 HOSA International Leadership Conference Highlights

Over 10,128 HOSA members, advisors and guests participated in HOSA's International Leadership Conference in Orlando, FL, June 21-24, 2017.  HOSA-Future Health Professionals from all over the country, Canada, American Samoa and Puerto Rico came together to compete, learn and share their HOSA experiences.  Conference highlights included 57 health-related competitive events, 128 educational workshops, and a keynote address from author, Paralympian and motivational speaker, Josh Sundquist. 

2017-2018 Executive Council

HOSA-Future Health Professionals is proud to announce the HOSA members elected to serve as your 2017-2018 Executive Council. HOSA's voting delegates listened to candidate speeches and selected the new council at the 2017 International Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida and on Friday, June 25 evening at the Recognition Session those leaders were announced:

2017 HOSA Interns for ASPR Internship Program Announced

HOSA is proud to announce two HOSA members selected for the new HOSA Intern Program with the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR), in Washington, D.C. this summer (May-August 2017).

HOSA Meets with White House Officials

On June 1, the National Coordinating Council of the Career and Technical Student Organizations (NCC-CTSOs) was invited to a listening session with Secretary Betsy DeVos.  The meeting was organized by the Office of Public Liaison which is led by Director George Sifakis, Assistant to the President, who welcomed the CTSO delegations consisting of a national student officer, an industry employer, and the organization's executive director.

2017-2018 National Officer Applicants

At the 2017 ILC each applicant will seek to become a candidate by passing the National Officer Candidate Exam and completing the interview process with the Nominating Committee. HOSA Members Named U.S. Presidential Scholars

The U.S. Presidential Scholars Program was established in 1964, by executive order of the President, to recognize and honor some of our nation's most distinguished graduating high school seniors. In 1979, the program was extended to recognize students who demonstrate exceptional talent in the visual, creative and performing arts. In 2015, the program was again extended to recognize students who demonstrate ability and accomplishment in career and technical education fields.
