AMSUS 2019 Annual Meeting

The Association of Military Surgeons of the United States (AMSUS invited Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia HOSA members to participate in their annual conference on December 3, 2019 at the Gaylord National Harbor Resort and Convention Center in Maryland with a unique agenda of activities planned for HOSA-Future Health Professionals. There were 300 HOSA members in attendance at this exciting event!

HOSA Attends Association of American Medical Colleges Event

HOSA-Future Health Professionals is proud to have had representation at the 2019 Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Minority Student Medical Career Fair held in Phoenix, Arizona on November 9. Vivian Do, HOSA President, and Amanda Gao, Secondary Board Representative attended the event, where they presented a workshop and promoted HOSA during the career fair. 

Thanksgiving Ideas Meeting

The HOSA Thanksgiving Ideas Meeting honored HOSA-100 National Advisory Council Members; HOSA Premier Sponsors; ILC Sponsors and Exibitors at a recent meeting held at The Occidental Restaurant in Washington, DC.  Amanda Gao, 2019-2020 Executive Council Member, HOSA, Inc. Board -- Secondary Representative, served as the keynoter by sharing her HOSA journey!

HOSA-Future Health Professionals is proud to sponsor Health Professions Week (HPW).  Health Professions Week is an exciting week-long event for high school and college students interested in learning more about careers in the health professions. HPW offers innovative ways for individuals to explore multiple health professions and interact directly with current practitioners and educators about admission requirements and career pathways. Students, teachers, and parents are invited to register for free.

HOSA Members Attend Leadership Initiatives Youth Development Program

Washington, D.C. (July 2019) This summer, HOSA members from across the nation took advantage of a unique opportunity to expand their health science career awareness and focus on college readiness by attending a Leadership Initiatives Youth Development Program, the Advanced Medical & Public Health Summit, offered July 21-27 and July 28-August 3.
