100-Day Masking Challenge

On January 20, 2021, President Biden signed an Executive Order requiring masks to be worn on federal property. With this order, the President also issued a challenge to the American people: 100 days of wearing masks. As future health professionals, HOSA has decided to take on the challenge!

In order to effectively complete the challenge, we have decided to pair it with a social media campaign highlighting HOSA members wearing masks. We will begin by featuring the Executive Council wearing masks and offering quotes as to why each member chooses to wear a mask (i.e., for their family, friends, patients, etc.) To encourage member participation, we want to highlight YOU taking part in this challenge!  These posts will occur daily on Instagram (@hosafhp) and will showcase HOSA’s commitment to public health.

If you would like to be a part of this campaign, please email jake.kelley@hosa.org the following:

  • A photo of you wearing a mask. This can be a “selfie,” a picture taken by another person, etc. Just as long as you are featured and we can see your mask, we are happy!
  • Your name, state, title, and Instagram handle if applicable.
  • A short, 2-3 sentence quote of why you are wearing a mask and who you wear it for.

Once you have sent in your submission, be sure to follow HOSA on Instagram @hosafhp to see your picture featured. We will also be posting an Instagram story template that members can use to write in why they wear their mask. We encourage you to do the same!
